6 Types of Bug Out Maps for Urban Evacuation

I never go anywhere off the pavement without a compass and topographical map of that area. But let’s assume an urban disaster hits scenario, where you need to leave your home. What maps do you need to get to safety? (And don’t just plan to rely on a GPS. They are only as reliable as their batteries, and constant use could mean the unit is soon powerless. Also, any electronic device can break or just quit working.)

Start your navigation plans with a good compass. I prefer one with a clear base plate that is designed to work on maps. Invest in a good one with declination settings, and then learn how to use it. The smaller compasses that come with some survival kits are only useful as backups and for giving you a general direction. The following is a list of types of bug out maps:

City map: Your evacuation from your home will start with this map, so get one with the finest detail possible. This map can help you figure out alternative street evacuation routes if bridges and/or overpasses are closed. Also, gridlock on major highways and freeways is a given, so you might need to plot a course around them.

Survival Expert Warns To Double Down On 2017 Prepping – Terrifying End Game May Await The Unprepared

‘There’s nothing like hunger to ‘inspire’ the angry mobs – it has happened before in history, it will happen again.’

In the new video below featuring former US Army Intelligence operative and survival expert James Wesley Rawles from SurvivalBlog.com along with Dave from the X22Report, we’re told that despite the fact America just dodged a major bullet with Donald Trump’s election, depending on how events develop over the next several months and into the next year, the greatest turmoil may still be ahead of us. Warning us all to kick our prepping into overdrive, Rawles urges us several times to ‘double-down on our preparations’ as he still expects the globalists may try to bring down the global economy between February and November of 2017.

Apocalypse Now: Survivalists Dig in for November 9

Trump or Hillary, they’re ready for the chaos. In fact, business has never been better.

By Julia Ioffe |

WHITE PINE, Tenn.—As Lucas Cameron sees it, there’s no way this election can end well. “Trump will win the popular vote by a landslide, and then the Electoral College will give it to Clinton,” he told me as his wife, Nikki, drove us through the rolling mountains of northeast Tennessee. Their home-schooled 12-year-old son, Jonathon, sat in the back, sipping on a McDonald’s drink, placidly gazing out the window as his father laid out some fairly terrifying scenarios. “By spring, we’ll be in a proxy war with Russia and going at it hard with Iran,” Lucas said. Things don’t look much better if Trump, his preferred candidate, wins. “If Trump is elected, Black Lives Matters goes crazy,” he says. “And Obama won’t let him take office. He’ll declare martial law so he can stay another four years.” If he does, and Trump takes office, “a recession is guaranteed.”

Special Drawing Right SDR

September 30, 2016

The SDR is an international reserve asset, created by the IMF in 1969 to supplement its member countries’ official reserves. As of March 2016, 204.1 billion SDRs (equivalent to about $285 billion) had been created and allocated to members. SDRs can be exchanged for freely usable currencies. The value of the SDR is based on a basket of five major currencies—the U.S. dollar, euro, the Chinese renminbi (RMB), the Japanese yen, and pound sterling—as of  October 1, 2016.

Should Clinton Be Elected President… By Chuck Baldwin | November 3, 2016

I beg the indulgence of my many non-religious readers as I open my column with an analogy from Saint Matthew’s Gospel narrative.

In His final words to the Jewish Pharisees, Jesus pronounced God’s condemnation upon them, their sacred temple, their holy city, and their false religion in the plainest and most plaguing terms–all of which came to pass within their generation, less than forty years later. Toward the end of His public condemnation of them, Jesus said this to the Pharisees:

“That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.” (Matthew 23:35, 36 KJV)

copereynolds-150x150PURPOSE AND CONTENTS OF THE PERSONAL
72 HOUR KIT
by Cope Reynolds

In turbulent times, we may be forced to leave our homes temporarily for a few days. Depending on circumstances, we may have to leave immediately at any time during the day or night and having the bare essentials at hand and ready to go at a moment’s notice may mean the difference between life or death to you and your loved ones.

We see all manner of lists that are suggested as necessary for a 72 hour kit. Many of these are unrealistically elaborate, expensive and heavy. Please bear in mind that a 72 hr. kit should be something that you can carry comfortably if you have to evacuate on foot and should contain only a minimal amount of items. All a healthy adult needs to SURVIVE comfortably for 72 hours is a change of clothes, a handful of Granola bars and 2-3 gallons of water. Anything beyond this should be considered carefully. Understanding that the possibility may exist for a longer stay than planned, here are a few suggestions for your kit. Keeping it minimal may even allow you to carry enough supplies for 96 hours or more instead of 72.
